So fans can expect to see the return of these two this fall for Series 3 of Sherlock (one of the best shows on television). But even better news: Benedict Cumberbatch (left) has confirmed that they’re signed on for a fourth series! Not only do we get three episodes this year but likely another three the following.

This news is excellent. I was getting worried there with the two co-stars’ success lately that scheduling conflicts would interfere with any new seasons, but my qualms have been mollified! You can also see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in the upcoming Part II of Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy THE HOBBIT, set for premiere at the end of the year. Everyone knows that, I hope.

Yorke also fielded a question about the much-discussed, still-unannounced recording Radiohead made at Jack White’s Third Man Studio in Nashville prior to headlining at Bonnaroo this past summer. Although Yorke didn’t reveal the exact details — he preferred to talk about White’s upholstery skills — he did hint that Radiohead recorded two of the three new songs they performed on their recent U.S. tour (“Identikit,” “Ful Stop” and “Cut a Hole”) at Third Man. Still, no news regarding when that session will be released.

my dad and i watched this bbc 90 minute mini series, called “sherlock,” last year at about this time, and we were really looking forward to watching series two before i go to the university in mid september.

unfortunately, i learned today that series two of “sherlock” is getting pushed back to early 2012, which is frankly kind of annoying. i guess i’ll be seeing “sherlock holmes 2” (the movie) with robert downey jr. and jude law before i see the bbc series.

the king of limbs: live from the basement

i think my first or second post on tumblr was in rainbows: live from the basement, and there’s a reason it was: (1) it’s probably my favorite album ever and (2) it kicks ass like no other video can.

for those that don’t know (which is everyone, apparently), radiohead performed their seventh studio album, in rainbows, live via webcast from the basement (the studio) a few years ago. and now with their recent release of their eighth studio album, the king of limbs, the news of the band’s agreement with bbc to do another “show” live from the basement is exciting in fans’ eyes.

i can’t wait for this one. the band’ll perform the entirety of their recent aforementioned album; it premieres on bbc july 1st. i can’t wait.

in the meantime, i’m awaiting the delivery of “the king of limbs” newspaper album that i preordered many months ago. if all goes well, it’ll be on my doorstep this week!
